A conscious thread is drawn from the flap of a wing through the mystery and stillness of death to the rebirth and respect of immortalizing a keepsake.
Black leather, brass and crystal points of black kyanite, smokey quartz and pyrite dominated the Talisman Collection. There is a strong presence of hand cut leather feathers and real feathers, brass cast crosses and bird bones, in honor of the cormorant, a large inky black water bird. Kristy often uses salvaged leathers and recycled materials and metals such as the brass spent bullet casings featured in this collection.
